They’re arresting Carolina’s most wanted sheriffs at the Medical Center

Police station commissioner Antonio López Figueroa reported that officers from the police department’s special arrests and renditions They reached the arrest of Jonathan Márquez Jiménez, the most wanted by the Carolina sheriffs.

The arrest was made today at 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of the University Hospital in the Río Piedras Medical Center.

“I am very pleased with the work of Agent Richard Carreras Gutiérrez, of the Special Arrests and Extradition Division, who worked closely with the Special Arrest officers of the Correction and Rehabilitation Division Richard Feliciano Rivera; Cesar Rivera Morales; José Rivera Díaz and Vivian Torres Güivas; to get this dangerous person out of circulation. He has a large criminal record for illegal appropriations, fraud, theft of vehicles, among other things, ”said López Figueroa.

Arrested Jonathan Márquez Jiménez, 37, weighed a sentence in absentia, without bail, of six years and one day in prison, on charges of aggravated illegal appropriation (Section 182 of the Criminal Code) and Law 8 (vehicle) for violation of Article 18.2 (Fraud to obtain illegal possession, use or control of the vehicle by voluntary supply from the owner, possessor, driver or safekeeping of the vehicle, subject of the appropriation). The committed acts date back to September 4, 2018 at the San Gerónimo condominium, on Ashford Avenue, in Condado, where he conned a man into stealing a 2014 Mercedes Benz C-250 model.

“The excellent work of these officers made it possible to arrest a highly dangerous subject for society that was one of the ten most wanted bailiffs in the Carolina Judiciary Region. Jonathan Márquez Jiménez has a large file in the police files and with his arrest we are protecting many people from the possibility of falling victim to this person, ”added the police commissioner with satisfaction.
