They say goodbye to Albert Rodríguez | Stage

Students, friends, family and artists say goodbye to actor and director Albert Rodríguez this morning, at the start of his wake, at the Braulio Castillo Theater, in Bayamón.

Relatives arrived early on, among these brothers and cousins; and his inseparable companions of the artistic class: Suzette Bacó, Marian Pabón, René Monclova, Jorge Castro and Raymond Gerena. Actors Junior Álvarez, Magdaly Cruz and Ángela Meyer also met before noon.

“Albert has been in my life for the past 25 years, directing practically all of my productions, because in the past five years we have shared the scene as an actor, he as a director and I as a producer. We have been inseparable and he had to be here because he is a brother, ”said Gerena THE SPOKESMANBefore adding that the family is “very affected, it was something that took us by surprise”.

Also early is Deddie Romero, with whom Rodríguez co-founded the National Talent Academy ten years ago, focused on early school leaving, with campuses in Bayamón and Arecibo, of which Albert was the general director.

“Albert has lived in Bayamón for much of his life and he was always very elegant with this servant, he was much appreciated,” said Bayamón Mayor Ramón Luis Rivera.

The vigil was closed to the press and the public. The box is said to remain closed and an image of the artist is projected into the theater. The body will be transferred tonight to the city of Añasco, where the vigil will take place tomorrow at the Jalvin Funeral Home. He will be buried on Saturday.

In the theater lobby, at the entrance of which they found a photo of Rodríguez in a director’s chair, his colleagues posted memorabilia and some of his signature personal belongings. You can see photos of him and his characters from Agatha, Gaby, Dr. Argüelles and the ‘sketch’ of the funeral home of El Remix; his Wapa TV ID, part of his collection of rings, books such as El condominio el musical, caps and superheroes because he was a fan of Iron Man.

The arrival of other members of the artistic class is expected from 1 pm.

Rodríguez died on March 15, at the age of 58, at his residence in Bayamón. Forensic Sciences stated it was due to natural causes.
