It has been reported that 12 of the raids are being carried out in the municipality of El Paraíso, Copán en two in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, from where Díaz Contreras’s frontmen continued to operate in the transfer of cocaine to the United States.

Detectives from the Drug Trafficking Directorate have inspected luxury buildings to find evidence related to drug trafficking and money laundering. The Public Prosecution Service (MP) reported that, according to the findings, arrests and detentions could also be registered as red flags.

Martin Adolfo Diaz Contreras was captured on April 10 by police units in the municipality of Gracias, Lempira, western Honduras, after an extradition order received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later confirmed by the Judiciary.

The arrest and transfer request came from the Texas Eastern District Court of the United States for two conspiracy crimes related to the trade, distribution, and production of five kilograms or more of cocaine.
