HOUSTON – After attorney Tony Buzbee said in an Instagram post that he had filed a complaint against Deshaun Watson, the Texans’ quartet back posted a message on social media saying he would like to clear his name.
Watson responded on Twitter to news of the lawsuit by saying that he “rejects a six-figure settlement for an unsubstantiated lawsuit” and that this “is about clearing my name and I look forward to it.
Buzbee did not specify the charges against Watson in his post, but did refer to the behavior with a woman and later told Fox 26 in Houston that “Watson went too far” with a woman who gave him a message.
“I have never treated a woman with anything other than the utmost respect,” Watson said in her post.
Buzbee is known in the Houston area for his law firm and a botched campaign against Mayor Sylvester Turner in 2019.
