The authorities of Guatemala They have arrested an alleged drug trafficker who was requested by the United States for extradition in a town near the capital of this Central American country, the prosecution reported on Saturday.
The woman, identified as Virginia Bourdet Delgado, 47, was arrested Friday night in the city of San José Pinula on the basis of a court order issued December 14, 2020, Juan Luis Pantaleón, spokesman for the Prosecution (Prosecutor’s Office).

Bourdet Delgado is the first woman of eight alleged local drug traffickers detained in Guatemala so far this year at the request of the United States.
