On the official page of Jesús El Salvador parish, on faceboock, it was announced that Antonio Gaytán Muruato, known as Niko Liko, is in poor health.

The statement calls for prayers for the physical recovery of the character’s author who brought joy to the so-called Generación X of this city for over 40 years.

The publication of the social network was inserted last night by the parish community of the church on Leyes de Reforma street and the National Army.

Parish staff announced that Niko Liko’s health is fragile and that he is in the 35th Social Security Hospital.

Niko Liko stood out in a TV show on Channel 5 until his retirement, the only one in this city at the time, and his character was distinguished from other clowns.

His first appearance dates back to the 1970s and his last with the signature red suit was in July 2019, in tribute to being made by groups of clowns in the municipal gym at the age of 80, according to newspaper reports.
