They arrest an American who allegedly sent his three-year-old daughter to the nursery by taxi

Stephanie Goddu, 35, was arrested in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire (in the Northeastern United States) after local police discovered at least two cases in which she allegedly endangered the welfare of her two minors.

The authorities learned of this on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 Goddu’s three-year-old daughter was not picked up from the daycare she was in.

Police decided to look for the mother in her home after several unsuccessful attempts to contact her by phone.

There they found her with her three-month-old baby, sitting in a blanket-wrapped car seat, near a heater and covered in urine. Manchester police assured to various media outlets, such as ‘NBC Boston’.

Also when questioning the woman, they found herself disoriented.

Later investigation found that on Monday, January 4, two days before the minor was not picked up, Goddu would have requested the service of a Lyft (an application similar to Uber) to send her alone to daycare.

Officials at that educational institution confirmed to police that the little girl arrived safely in the vehicle that day, but in fact without her mother.

“Both the baby’s condition and the uncontrolled trip to the nursery were grounds for charges against Goddu,” Manchester police wrote in a Facebook post.

In the same text, it is clarified that the woman was arrested on January 8 “at about 6 pm.After he resisted, an action for which he was also charged.

The authorities have not clarified in their public statement whether the woman has been released on bail or whether she is still deprived of her liberty. There is also no clarity as to who was given custody of the minors.

According to local media, Goddu had already been in court in 2015 for the death of a newborn baby.

At the time, prosecutor Carrissa Pelletier assumed the baby had died of trauma related to a fall from his mother while drunk and was holding him.

Finally, no charges have been filed for the death of the minor, pBut yes for “reckless behavior and endangering a minor”.

Shortly afterwards, the woman was released on parole, the American media reported ‘Patch’.
