Dallas. – A 34-year-old man from Texas was arrested for alleged participation in the attack on Capitol from U.S this month and posting violent threats, including a call to assassinate the Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez From New York.
Garret Miller, who is from the Dallas suburb of Richardson, was arrested Friday after being named in a five count federal complaint.
Authorities allege that Miller posted photos and videos to his social media accounts showing him in the Capitol building during the Jan. 6 attack on the building by supporters of the then president. Donald Trump. They also say he called for violence in online messages, including a tweet that simply reads “Assassinate AOC,” a reference to the liberal Ocasio-Cortez.
In another tweet, Miller posted, “Next time we bring the guns, they’ll be right,” an FBI agent wrote in an affidavit.

Miller also threatened a United States Capitol police officer during an Instagram exchange, writing that he intended to “hug her neck with a nice rope,” the affidavit said.
After posting a photo to Facebook showing him at the Capitol, Miller responded to a comment about the image with, “I want to frame myself a little,” said an affidavit from the FBI.
Ocasio-Cortez posted Miller’s charges on Twitter on Friday, tweeting, “On the one hand, you have to laugh and on the other, know the reason they were so bold is because they thought they would succeed.”

Miller’s attorney, Clint Broden, said in an email The Associated Press that Miller regrets the actions he has taken “in a misguided attempt to show his support for former President Trump.”
“His comments on social media reflect the highly ignored political exaggeration in highly divided times and will certainly not be repeated in the future,” Broden said. “I hope to put all of this behind you.”
Miller is scheduled for a hearing on detention on Monday.
“We hope that given the support and regret of his family for his actions, he will be released so that he can resolve charges against him in a timely manner,” said Broden.
