The attacker of Boca Juniors Cristian Pavón, which played the 2018 World Cup in Russia and was loaned to the Los Angeles Galaxy of the US MLS in 2019 and 2020, was charged this Monday with “alleged crime of sexual abuse to which carnal access is available,” judicial sources reported.
“The High Gracia Prosecutor, headed by Alejandro Peralta Otonello, has charged Cristian David Pavón with the alleged crime of sexual abuse with carnal access,” the prosecution published. “The prosecution has also decided to hold a hearing to receive the defendant’s statement by March 23, 2021,” the text adds.
The woman who filed the complaint on November 25, 2020 assures that the incident took place on November 1, 2019 in the province of Córdoba, the place of origin of the 25-year-old striker.

Pavón posted a statement on his Instagram account assuring the woman is lying and convicted her of “extortion and false charges”. The attacker underwent a posterior arthroscopy of both ankles in February, he still stopped playing, and his father announced his intention to be sold overseas due to disagreements with the Boca Juniors managers for economic reasons.
