These are the CVS locations in SoCal that will be offering COVID-19 vaccines starting next week

February 3, 2021 by NewsDesk

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – CVS Pharmacies will soon begin offering COVID-19 vaccines across California, the company announced Tuesday.

One hundred of the company’s pharmacies, including several locations in Southern California, will deliver approximately 81,900 doses starting Thursday, Feb. 11. You can already make an appointment on February 10th.

You must be eligible to receive the vaccine under the state’s current vaccine rollout plan, which includes health professionals and people 65 and older. And you must have an appointment before you get your dose.

  • Carmel
  • Carlsbad
  • Chula Vista
  • Clovis
  • Eureka
  • Huntington Beach
  • Irvine
  • La Jolla
  • The Angels
  • Modesto
  • Monterey
  • Newport Beach
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • Sonoma
  • Sunnyvale
  • Ventura
  • Yuba City
  • Officials say more of their pharmacies will be offering vaccines as the dose supply increases.

To make an appointment, register online at cvs.com or call 1-800-746-7287.

Meanwhile, the state’s top health officials have discussed plans to change the current vaccine distribution system, suggesting revisions to who will be the next group to qualify for vaccination. However, the details have not yet been released.

California is still lagging behind other states in vaccine rollout, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Mark Ghaly, California’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, says the state wants to change that and respond to outrage, as the disabled population of the Golden State has yet to receive the vaccine.

“We are at the forefront of our vaccination efforts by focusing on protecting those who are most at risk and those who may have the worst consequences of COVID,” he said. “So by partnering with the disability community, those who care for individuals with severe chronic conditions are starting to develop policies that we will announce later.”
