HOUSTON. Texas. – The electricity emergency came to an end, but the lack thereof Water Broken pipes and low pressure is a major problem that does not stop in many Houston homes.

This Sunday a super distribution center will be held in the NRG stadium from 9 a.m. and until 1 p.m. or while supplies last. Deliveries will be made at entrance 9 of the stadium located at 8510 Kirby Dr., doors open at 07:00.

Burns Original BBQ
The Burns family will be giving away meals along with BossLife, World Central Kitchen and Certified 1501 ENT. on Sunday February 21 for at least 2,000 people. The drop-off will be at Burns Original Bar-B-Que at 8307 De Priest Street.

The mayor and city government provided important information to help people recover from the freezing temperatures and days no water or electricity.

Houston will likely remain under a boiling water advisory until Monday, Feb. 22. People should not consume tap water until it has been boiled in hot water for several minutes. It’s safe to shower.

All Houstonians can help by conserving water use to increase water pressure in the city.

All solid waste services are suspended except for waste collection. Neighborhood Depository locations will resume services on Friday, February 19, 2021.

The mayor led a citywide plan to distribute water in Houston. Each councilor was given bottled water to distribute in their districts.

The mayor announced that he is working with business leaders to create a fund to help the uninsured and seniors whose homes were damaged due to frozen water pipes.

“My main concern is the uninsured people who suffered a lot of water-related damage to their home when frozen pipes burst and caused damage to the roof and the entire house,” said Mayor Turner.

The Houston Department of Health will resume coronavirus vaccinations this weekend with 4,784 second-dose appointments from February 20-21, 2021. Individuals who received their first dose in the week of January 18-23 will be contacted to schedule appointments.
