A customer has given a funny reaction to an unexpected discovery at his Woolworths grocery store.

The Australian man was surprised to find that a box of Cadbury Crunchie ice creams had already been opened before they were delivered to his home.

Even worse, one of the ice creams was missing, prompting him to share his predicament in a lighthearted way on Twitter under the handle, @joshystuart.

Inspired by Liam Neeson’s iconic slogan from the blockbuster Taken, the customer suggested that his ice cream cone was taken hostage and advocated a safe return.

“I ordered some groceries from Woolworths and saw one of my Crunchie ice creams was missing!” he tweeted.

‘If you bring it back now, it will be over. I will not look for you. I will not chase you. But if you don’t, I’ll find you … ‘

The original quote, regarding the on-screen kidnapping of Neeson’s daughter, reads:

‘If you let my daughter go now, it will be over.

‘I won’t look for you, I won’t chase you. But if you don’t, I’ll look for you, I’ll find you, and I’ll kill you. ‘

A Woolworths representative responded with an equally funny apology and offered the man a full refund.

“Oh no, we’re sorry to see some of the Crunchie ice creams were missing,” the rep wrote.

‘We hope no one is holding them hostage because we can tell you that you enjoy it.

“We may not be able to help with the ransom, but we would like to see if we can arrange a refund.”

The shopper and Woolworths have since exchanged details to arrange a refund.
