The WHO will bring European countries together to discuss the strategy for new species

The European Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) announced a meeting of its members on Tuesday to discuss testing strategies, reduce transmission and communication about the coronavirus strain that appeared in the UK.

“Limiting travel to curb the spread makes sense until better information is available. Supply chains for essential products and essential travel must remain possible, ”said WHO Europe Director Hans Kluge on his Twitter account, which did not disclose a date for the meeting.

Several European countries have temporarily closed their borders to travelers from the United Kingdom due to the tax, which appears to be “more easily” transferred, although the seriousness is not yet clear, according to Kluge.

“Increasing prevention measures is crucial,” added the head of the WHO’s European office.

Three days ago the British government tightened restrictions on population movement in London and the south-east of England due to the alarming increase in cases of Covid-19 that experts link to a highly contagious new variant of the coronavirus.
