The embassy of the United States of America in Tegucigalpa it will be closed to the public from Wednesday December 30th and will resume on Monday January 4th.
The diplomatic representation reported on Twitter that the pause is due to the New Years celebration and the reshuffle of the Morazanico vacation, which occurred in late October, but it was shelved due to the fateful passage of Hurricane Eta.

– Renewal of B1, B2, B1 / B2, C1, C1 / D, E1, E2, F1, H2A, H2B and H4 visas.
– First time applicants for H2A visas.
– First time applicants: adults over 80 years old; and children under the age of 14 with both parents holding a valid B1 / B2 visa.
Emergency requests were also resumed, but this process does require an interview at the embassy Tegucigalpa.
However, arrangements for regular or first B1 / B2 visas (business / tourism) are not yet available.
