Amanda “Real Deal” Serrano is clear to whom she will dedicate her victory when she retains her two featherweight world titles on Thursday against Argentinian Daniela “La Bonita” Bermúdez.
The seven-time world champion assured Wednesday – after passing the scale test – that she will dedicate her triumph to legendary Puerto Rican boxer, former champion Felix “Tito” Trinidad, whom she admires for his prowess on the floor.
Serrano will star in a ten-round fight against Bermúdez at the end of the Billboard series Ring City USA, which will move to the Plaza del Quinto Centenario in Old San Juan in its latest edition. The fight will cost £ 126.

The seven-time world champion scored 124.8 pounds, while Bermúdez – with a record of 29-3-3 and 10 KOs – stopped the scale at 125 pounds.
The Puerto Rican will deploy the feather-light crowns of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the World Boxing Council (WBC). The vacancy of the International Boxing Organization (IBO) is also at stake.
Therefore, Serrano’s inspiration is no accident.
With so much at stake, the Puerto Rican wants to show the same warrior heart that the multiple world champion had in his 45 professional bouts.
“He has the heart of a monster in the ring. I want to do that too. He made great fights and I definitely want to do it with my career, ”said Serrano, who is 39-1-1 with 29 KO’s.
Serrano belongs to the select group of united Puerto Rican champions, including Trinidad, Carlos Ortiz and Danny García.
“Now they can expect a lot of fists, power and good blows,” Serrano said of his fight against the boxer from the Argentinian city of Santa Fe.
The billboard will be broadcast on the NBC Sports network.
The evening will be dominated by the fight in the bantamweight division between Puerto Rican Abimael “Manos de Piedra” Ortiz (8-0-1 and 4 KO’s) and Mexican Eduardo “Lalo” Báez (18-1-2 and 6 KO’s)). It will be eight rounds.
The event – hosted by H2 Entertainment and Miguel Cotto Promotions – marks the end of Ring City USA’s series of outdoor billboards on the island.
