C.arlo Ancelotti had ruled out James Rodriguez Everton’s clash with West Ham United Wednesday, barely 48 hours later, the Colombian was on the couch.
Even more surprising, however, was when Ancelotti brought the Colombian with 30 minutes to play in an attempt to break the deadlock.
Still, it would prove ineffective as James watched the pace, which made sense considering he hadn’t played in nearly a month.
It was Ancelotti himself who acknowledged at the end of the match that his midfielder was not yet 100 percent fit.
“James had some problems that prevented him from playing or training much and against West Ham he only played for 30 minutes,” he said after the 1-0 home loss.
“He has to improve his condition, but he will be much better in the coming races.”
