The special gift the Duke of Edinburgh left for his youngest granddaughter

According to sources from the Daily Mail newspaper, Louise will inherit the dark green aluminum and steel carriage that the Duke of Edinburgh had crafted eight years ago following very precise instructions along with a pair of Fell ponies named Balmoral Nevis and Notlaw Storm, for whom the deceased felt a great attachment.

The two animals starred in one of the most emotional moments at Elizabeth II’s husband’s funeral last Saturday, when they showed up on the grounds of Windsor Castle and pulled their owner’s favorite carriage. On the chair he had put his riding cap, his gloves, his blanket, and even the red-topped plastic container in which he kept the sugar cubes he gave his ponies as a reward.
