As Prince Philip’s death and his 95th birthday approach, the Queen is “seriously” considering leaving the throne.
According to a royal source, the queen wishes a smooth transition from the crown and since nothing is known of her intentions, sooner or later Prince Charles could be given the crown.
“His Majesty is aware of his age and wants to make sure that when the time comes, the transition of the Crown is seamless,” the source said.
“I understand the Queen has thought it through and believe that if she is still alive at 95 she will seriously consider handing over the government to Charles.”
