When you watch beautiful anime people at less than 4K resolution, are you really watching them? Genshin ImpactThe native PlayStation 5 version will launch with the April 15 release of version 1.5, giving you that sweet 4K support along with improved textures and faster loading times.

Detailed in a message on the PlayStation Blog, the Beneath the Light of Jadeite update brings new enemies, new events and new friends to take on an adventure with. We meet Eula, the Spindrift knight from Mondstadt, and Yanfei, a legal adviser from Liyue Harbor, both sounds beautiful. It also introduces player housing, because just hanging out in the streets of Mondstadt makes you look like a bum. Stop.

Me? I am not the most enthusiastic Genshin Impact player, so I admit that much of the upcoming update doesn’t get me through much, but I do know I’m tired of launching the PS4 version on my PS5 when I try to play. And so I welcome news of a native PS5 version so that I can finally get those fast load times and improved resolutions that are the reason this massive upside down Oreo taco from a console is in my entertainment center at all. Maybe this is the push I need to finally fully invest in the game.
