Tegucigalpa.
After getting formal charges for Marco Bográn and Alex Moraes, former Invest-H officials, the Public Prosecution Service of Honduras asked the international police (Interpol) to detain Axel López, legal representative of HospitalesMoviles.com and Elmed Medical Systems INC, who was involved in the irregular sale of mobile hospitals to Honduras.
In this sense, and because his whereabouts are unknown, the MP has instituted proceedings before the courts for the release of an international arrest warrant against the Guatemalan businessman.
Yuri Mora, communications officer of the Prosecution, stated that Axel López was included in the tax liability in which they are also charged Marco Bográn and Alex Moraes
We must not forget that Axel López was the intermediary in the takeover of the mobile hospitals by Invest-H. The businessman bought the hospital modules from a company in Turkey and sold them to Inversión Estratégica de Honduras.
According to the prosecution, Axel López made more than $ 20 million (more than 480 million lempiras) with that transaction.
Marco Bográn made the direct purchase of the mobile hospitals, for which Invest-H paid 48 million dollars (1.2 billion lempiras) in cash. The modules would be delivered “turnkey”, that is, ready to be put into use; However, only the one working in San Pedro Sula, another one installed in Tegucigalpa is not suitable for treating covid patients, while the other five have not yet been installed.
In the tax claim, accuses the prosecution Axel Lopez of two forms of fraud to the detriment of the public administration as a necessary employee.
