The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced in their various presentations on Friday a new price hike for the bottles of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The maximum retail prices are: $ 17.27 per 35 pound cylinder; $ 12.39 for £ 25; $ 9.99 for the £ 20 and $ 5.13 for the £ 10.
The amount of the grant awarded by the government remains $ 5.00, for which beneficiaries pay $ 7.39 for a 25 pound cylinder. As in January, it cost $ 5.92
Gas was up 33% in one year
Between February 2020 and February 2021, liquefied petroleum gas has risen between 32.3% and 33.7%.
The maximum price of the non-subsidized 35-pound cylinder was $ 12.91 in February 2020. It rose to $ 17.27, that is, it was up 33.7%.
