The Pokémon Company is committed to Sword, Shield and HOME users who modify saved data in “New Ban Wave”

The Pokémon Company appears to be gearing up to (re-) lay the law with what is being described as another ban wave.

According to Serebii.net, naughty users of Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon HOME are the targets – with some players aware of the use of ‘changed data’, while others cause problems due to the features of games and apps for Others users.

Players caught changing save data will be banned from using trading features and will no longer be able to access HOME. It follows an agreement in the Terms of Service that prohibits alteration of stored data.

For example, changing save data can include adding Pokémon to the game that you didn’t actually catch.

Bans can be temporary or permanent, and The Pokémon Company plans to take the same action in the future. It will also take more action if necessary.

This isn’t the first time it has done something like this either. Rather, it is prohibited for players who intentionally disconnect from online battles.
