The eldest son of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen died on Sunday at the age of 33, the former player revealed on his Twitter profile.

“It breaks my heart to share that I said goodbye to my firstborn Antron yesterday. We both shared a love of basketball and had countless conversations about the game,” wrote Pippen, who played 17 NBA seasons and won six championship rings alongside Michael. Jordan.
“Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I really think he would have made it to the NBA. However, he never let that put him off: Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I’m so proud of the man in which He was converted, ” continued 55-year-old Pippen.
Antron was born in 1987 to Karen McCollum, who married Scottie in 1988. The couple broke up in 1990.
Pippen did not disclose the cause of death.
Antron played basketball at Texas A&M International University.
