The known murderer of 29-year-old nurse Angie Noemí González Santos, Roberto Félix Rodríguez Díaz, sent a message to his daughters and was in touch with their father, who was apparently his mother-in-law when he left court this afternoon.
“All I want is for my daughters to be healthy,” said the 35-year-old man in a video published by Noticentro.
This afternoon, Judge Imarie Cintrón Alvarado of the Aibonito Court established the likely reason for the arrest and imposed a $ 2,100,000 bail on Rodríguez Díaz, who confessed to murdering his wife in Barranquitas on January 15.
“Although I may or may not speak the way I want to, I will be the bad guy,” said the man who was taken to prison after he failed to pay bail.
The video shows that as Rodríguez Díaz was about to enter the car where he was to be taken to prison, a woman Noticentro identified as her mother-in-law started screaming from a distance. To which she said he replied, “I love you too, my love, forgive me.”
After this, the suspect’s father comes to him and hugs him. “Tomorrow I’m going to hang myself,” said the man, to which Rodríguez Díaz asked him not to.
Faced with these expressions, the Department of the Family assured that social workers and ASSMCA personnel had already been mobilized to help the father.
The facts clearly show that Rodríguez Díaz murdered his partner with whom he had three daughters. He then took the victim’s lifeless body to Coamo jurisdiction and threw it into the void. During the interview with the police officers and after the warnings of the law, the suspect confessed to the murder.
Rodríguez Díaz was charged with an article 93 assassination attempt and three charges under article 285 destruction of evidence.
