The next season of Fortnite kicks off with a single-player narrative mission

Fortnite’s The final season is drawing to a close, but Chapter 2: Season 6 is set to kick off on March 16. Unique to the popular Battle Royale, which begins with a special single-player story event, the Zero Crisis Finale.

Outlined by Epic Games in a recent blog post, this event will bridge the gap between seasons 5 and 6 and show the “conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission.” It’s one that sees iconic characters like the Terminator, Predator, Ryu & Chun-Li and Ripley & the Xenomorph Queen appearing everywhere.

Unlike previous events, where players had to log in at a specific time, the Zero Crisis Final starts when you first log in at Season 6, so you can participate when it suits you. That could be in response to previous server issues, given the Galactus event in December 15.3 million players log in at the same time.

Epic Games has also confirmed plans to let players watch this live premiere online first, if you prefer. We call it “our most ambitious movie story yet”, stream details haven’t been confirmed yet, but we expect those to be released soon.
