The New Year’s Sale on the Nintendo Switch eShop has some fantastic games up for grabs

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, Grindstone, and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 all deserve a nod

There’s no shortage of worthwhile games on Nintendo Switch, it’s just a matter of popping in at the right time to get the most bang for your buck. For some of you, the eShop’s New Year’s sale is it.

Note that in the heading I said ‘great games’ and not ‘great deals’.

After all, this is an eShop sale – and a highly curated one. The actual discounts for many of these Switch games it may seem small, but I think most of these are quality games (even if we’re tired of seeing that standard retail price of $ 41.99 for first-party Nintendo games, no matter how old they to be).

A few recommendations if you are looking for a helping hand: Clubhouse Games (I loved dueling the big-brain AI opponents), Well done! (it’s a chill “co-op afternoon” game), Grinding stone (it lasts ridiculously long), Curse of the Moon 2 (don’t feel like you have to play the original game first), A short walk (it’s so beautiful), and Shinsekai (a rare Capcom metroidvanie). I watch immortalsbut I can wait.

I would also say $ 11.99 sounds a lot better than $ 30 Aladdin and The lionking.

Watch anyway – The New Year’s Sale eShop lasts until 11:59 PM Pacific January 21st.
