The Mexican team already has a group for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics | Sports MX selection

The Mexican team and the Honduran national team met their fate in the draw for the men’s soccer tournament Tokyo 2020. Luck gave both Latino teams a balanced group in which Mexico will compete against the locals and the youth team of world champions, while Honduras can be excited about the next round.

Honduras, meanwhile, will collide with New Zealand, South Korea and Romania, in the B group and on paper, teams that could very well sign to get into the top 8 of the tournament.

The first team to be drawn was Japan, the local team that was automatically placed in A1 and will begin its journey through the tournament on July 22. After the locals came South Korea, Asian champion, who was placed in B2, then Argentina was drawn for the C3 place and finally Brazil that went to Group D1.

That was when Pot 2 came and the first to be drawn was Spain which was placed in C2 which will play the opening game, then came out Germany, which was placed directly in Group D2 and which will open the Olympic tournament against Brazil.

The time has come for that Mexico and he immediately went to group A3 where he made his debut on July 22nd and eventually Honduras will drool to go to B3.

It was the turn of Pot 3 and South Africa it was the first to come out as A2, then New Zealand to go to B1, Egypt to be placed in C1 and finally Ivory Coast in D3.

Pot 4 finally arrived and the first to take off was Australia seeded as C4, it came out France which reached directly the A4, Saudi Arabia which was placed in the D4 and finally Romania which was placed in the B4.

group A.: Japan, South Africa, Mexico and France
B group: New Zealand, South Korea, Honduras and Romania
Group C.: Egypt, Spain, Argentina and Australia
Group D.: Brazil, Germany, Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia

Next Wednesday, the Groups of the Olympic ladies tournament were also raffled where the Selection from the United States reached its destination when it was in sector G and where it will face Sweden, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
