The McDonald’s employee turns 100 and continues to work

Ruth Shuster has worked at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania for nearly three decades and recently celebrated her 100th birthday with no plans to retire.

As reported by WSVN, Shuster said it felt like every other Wednesday to her, despite her colleagues throwing a birthday party for her.

The woman started working in the fast food restaurant when she was 73 years old, in 1994.

The outlet said that before the pandemic, Shuster was helping customers with whatever they needed. Cover what you can now and help boost the morale of other employees.

“I was a widow when I was 50 and have been working ever since, I enjoy working,” she said.

Despite the time and her age, the woman assured her that she “has no intention of retiring at all”, as she is lucky to still be allowed to stay at her age.
