The Harry and Meghan interview with Oprah

Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive interview that aired on CBS on Sunday. Harry and Meghan speak out about their time in the royal family in their first interview since ending their royal duties.

Since then, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy. The two have moved to California with their son Archie, they announced earlier this year Meghan is pregnant with their second childThey have also signed production agreements while pledging to continue living a life of public service as private citizens.

But there has been a rift with the royal family since they stepped aside. And this week Buckingham Palace said It investigates allegations that unnamed staff members accused Meghan of “emotional cruelty and manipulation” following her 2018 wedding to Harry, forcing two aides to quit. The couple views the public response as part of a smear campaign.

“I don’t know how they could expect that after all this time we would still be silent if there is an active role ‘The Firm’ is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us,” Meghan said in a preview of the conversation. “The Firm” is a common nickname for the British Royal Family.
