Governor Pedro Pierluisi celebrated tonight that the Financial Times data placed Puerto Rico fifth in the world in terms of vaccine delivery.
“The effort is yielding results. We are 5th in the world in vaccine administration. We continue to make progress in our fight against COVID-19. Let’s go Puerto Rico!”, Pierluisi wrote in networks.
This digital dashboard, published by the media, positions all countries based on the number of doses of vaccines delivered and obtains its data from the University of Oxford, the World Health Organization and national data from other countries.
The governor’s celebration was joined by Health Minister Carlos Mellado, who assured the position “is the result of teamwork. The commitment remains, we will continue to vaccinate all of Puerto Rico.”
The table indicates that in Puerto Rico 18% of the population is fully vaccinated, which puts us above European or South American countries.
First positions are Israel, Bahrain, Chile and the United States.
Being fifth in the world is the result of teamwork. The commitment remains firm, we will continue to vaccinate all of Puerto Rico. # ProtégeteVacúnate https://t.co/PuIA9vfYSl
