Insiders have said that Mezrich and his representatives also released the book proposal last week and that MGM acquired the rights to a film adaptation on Friday night.This project will reunite MGM’s Michael DeLuca and Mezrich, who worked together to adapt Mezrich’s The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal to what would become known as The Social Network.
Mezrich also wrote the book Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Take Vegas For Millions, which was later adapted into the movie 21.
