Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League Roberto Clemente (LBPRC) and its tournament director, Carlos Berroa, announced the suspension of the second game of the semi-final between the Indios de Mayagüez and Atenienses de Manatí today, Sunday, due to two possible positive cases for COVID -19.
As indicated in the body’s Health and Safety Protocol, both novena will be subjected to the corresponding tests on Monday and, according to the results – in consultation with all parties involved – the resumption of the semi-final series B, which is 1- 0 in favor of the Mayagüez Indians. Today the series continued in Manatí.
These could be the first cases of possible infections since the season started in December.
The second match of the semi-final Series A is scheduled for this afternoon, Sunday, when RA12 (0-1) receives the Criollos de Caguas (1-0) at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium at 3:05 pm, a match that will be broadcast by WAPA Deportes.
