The final filing of 8 suspects in the Odebrecht case has been postponed to 28 this month

Judge José Alejandro Vargas postponed until December 28, the appeal against the prosecutor’s advice that had ordered the final filing of the charges against eight suspects in the Odebrecht bribes.

The judge adopted the measure to provide the option of reporting different instances of lawyers for different suspects, to guarantee the right to equality.

The objection to the advice of the prosecution was filed by the social organization Alianza Ciudadana, which understands that the file of the file has been adopted illegally and irregularly.

They were favored with the opinion of the Public Prosecution Service, Temístocles Montás, Julio César Valentín, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco; Rudy González, César Sánchez, Bernardo Castellanos, Máximo de Óleo and Radhamés Segura.

The coordinating judge of the investigative court appointed herself from this file, after Judge Keila Pérez, of the first court, withheld herself, claiming that she had befriended former deputy Rudy González, one of the beneficiaries in the final file.

The Citizen Alliance entity is requesting that the advisory be withdrawn and ordering that the file be reopened and that investigations regarding those eight individuals continue.

The defendants’ defense says it is not legally registered, for which it cannot take legal action, but its representative, attorney Evelin Torres, indicated that these questions will be broadcast by the court at the hearing.
