The Elder Scrolls 6 Setting may be plagued

The Elder Scrolls 6 The release date may be years past, but it looks like Bethesda Game Studios has teased the game’s setting that is supposedly coming to PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. While the next episode is in The Elder Scrolls series was announced in 2018, we don’t really know about the game. However, through Twitter and through the official account for the series, Bethesda may have hinted where the next game could take players.

The message wishing its followers a happy new year is seemingly quite harmless, but it comes with a map of Skyrim and the caption “transcribe the past and map the future”. Again, ground level doesn’t seem like much about this, but there are some strange lights on the map as well. One of these lights is located on Solitude, the capital of Skyrim. The second appears slightly off the map, suggesting that there is no meaning to the placement. However, the third is in the adjacent Hammerfell region.

As you may know, the current speculation – fueled in part by rumors and leaks – is that the next game will take place, at least in part, in Hammerfell, which actually makes this seemingly random placement of lights a bit suspicious.

Now take everything here with a huge grain of salt, because it’s all just speculation. However, on Reddit, fans have pointed out the above observations and how the combination of the caption, map, lights, and locations involved are at least interesting and suspicious.

At the time of publication, Bethesda has not commented on this speculation in any capacity. If it is a genuine tease, there is no way that it can change. However, if it’s just baseless speculation, there’s a chance Bethesda will squash it. If so, we will definitely update the story.
