Dominican rock mourns the premature departure on Tuesday of one of its exponents, Homero Guerrero, musician and producer of the national alternative artistic scene. He was 49 years old.
Homero played bass in several groups, including “Los Fulanos” and “Machacao”. The latter was his most eclectic and personal project, as he was also a composer and arranger.
Guerrero was so diverse to the scene that he also created and produced the “Rock LTD” events (musical competitions where the emblematic figure was named Luis Terror Días), and the “Rock Camp”, aimed at children and adolescents, among others. .
Manager, director, entrepreneur, owner of legendary spaces like “Bar H” and “Ye Old Homero”; cultural manager and leading figure in projects aimed at the spread and growth of rock, alternative music and causes of social impact.
He was also essential to dozens of musical projects, such as that of his friend and life brother Pavel Núñez, with whom he has joined throughout history.
Homerito leaves a lot of pain and emptiness on many who have expressed regrets and anecdotes through social networks today after his departure.
This is the case of director Ernesto Alemany, who said the following: “Homerito always appeared … Every time a case needed, his talent and his dedication came and put himself to the test without asking a question. We’d been friends since the days of Odeon and the Olympics when I was a groupie and he was a legend, that was over 30 years ago. I can’t believe it, I’ll see you later my fool ”.

Homer’s departure took place on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the morning, after he presented a critical and ascending picture due to a supraventricular tachycardia and other complications that culminated in his life.
He leaves behind a wife, two daughters and an entire artistic community in grief and in a “See you later Homer”.
His body is veiled at the Blandino Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 30.
