The Cuban government donated cars to the island’s athletes and coaches in recognition of their work.

For her part, Olympic champion and current national athletics commissioner Yipsi Moreno, who was recognized with one of these cars, said she was proud of the action.

During the event, multiple champion Olympic wrestler Mijaín López handed over the keys to the cars to the selected athletes and coaches.
Other licensed athletes or coaches were Ibrahim Camejo (track and field), Franklin Standard (basketball), Miguel Lahera (baseball), Rogelio García (baseball), Rey Vicente Anglada (baseball), Juan Hernández Sierra (boxing), Lorenzo Aragón (boxing) and Yosniel Domínguez (canoeing).
In addition, the squad also includes Héctor Ruiz (cycling), Julio Alderete (judo), Héctor Milián (wrestling), Raúl Trujillo (wrestling), René García (taekwondo), Roberto Castrillo (shooting), Marlenis Costa (volleyball), Imilsis Téllez ( volleyball), Diosmany González (para-athletics), Leinier Savón (para-athletics) and Enrique Cepeda (para-athletics).
In 2019 also the Cuban government cars delivered to about twenty members of the Cuban sports movement.
Among those recognized were 13 sports glory, six active athletes and a coach, representatives of track and field, basketball, baseball, boxing, cycling, diving, fencing, judo, weights, wrestling, volleyball, and sailing.
At the time, some of the athletes who benefited from this were the discóbola Yaimé Pérez, Misleidis González (track and field), Liudis Masso (track and field for the disabled), Ruperto Herrera (basketball), Yulieski González and Tony González (baseball), Ángel Herrera (boxing) and Leonel Álvarez (cycling).
