Elden Ring Supporters haven’t seen anything official on FromSoftware’s new game lately in terms of screenshots, movies or anything else like that, but the community recently received a reassuring message from the game’s creators. Yasuhiro Kitao, who handles promotion, marketing and communications at FromSoftware, tweeted a “ thank you ” to those who supported the game at the end of the year and were keen to hear more about it, saying the developers are planning to continue to engage in development and are ‘highly motivated’.
Kitao is brief but welcome Elden Ring update came on Tuesday evening from Twitter where the game and its supporters were addressed. After thanking those who voted for the game for making it the winner of the “Most Anticipated Game” category at The Game Awards 2020, Kitao said FromSoftware will strive to achieve the “high standard” to which fans have achieved the developer.
Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who voted for Elden Ring at TGA, and to everyone who continues to support us. Thanks to those who play our games and continue to maintain a high standard, we can continue our development undaunted and highly motivated. Thank you.

Even if it hadn’t won The Game Awards’ Most Anticipated Game award, it would be one of the top contenders to be sure of given how much hype has been around the game. Anytime an industry event such as The Game Awards or a showcase of upcoming titles from Microsoft or Sony takes place, people are looking for Elden Ring to appear, but the last few opportunities for such revelations have failed the community. Even though people have hardly seen the game since its initial reveal, the fact that it is being worked on by FromSoftware – the makers of games such as the Dark Souls series and Blood borne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – has been more than enough to get people excited about it. With George RR Martin from Game of Thrones fame on board for the game’s story only added to that excitement.
Kitao’s closing by saying “ see you in 2021 ” has given some hope that they’ll see the game released in 2021, but it’s probably better not to read that much into that and consider it a year-end instead. Thank you and reassurance about it Elden Ring’s development.
