The court in Iraq issues an arrest warrant for Donald Trump

An Iraqi court issued a warrant for the arrest of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

According to Deutsche Welle media, the arrest warrant was intended for him for the January 2020 bombing in Baghdad that killed Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al Mohandes and Iranian commander Qasem Soleimaní.

In this sense, the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq reported that the competent court ‘decided to issue a warrant for the arrest of the President of the United States, Donald Trump (…) and will continue the investigative proceedings to prevent the other participants in the execution of this crime, both Iraqi and foreign. “

The decision to issue the warrant came after the judge collected testimonials from Al Mohandes’ relatives.

It should be remembered that this event takes place a day after the attack on the Capitol in Washington by Trump supporters, at a time when lawmakers were certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.
