The Commissioner acknowledges that “criminal intelligence” has been lost to the police in order to track down possible murderers

The new Puerto Rico Police Department commissioner Antonio López acknowledged that the “criminal intelligence” method of tracking, locating and watching out for individuals who could commit criminal acts, as occurred earlier this week three officers killed in a shooting in Carolina.

“The police lost what is called criminal information, namely obtaining criminal information and following up on these persons,” López said in an interview with Radio Island 1320.

However, López indicated that this initiative, which he labeled “fundamental” in every public order office, will now be resumed.
