The Cobra Kai mansion where Ralph Macchio’s character lived is listed for $ 2.65 million

In the Netflix spin-off series Cobra Kai, the original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso – played by Ralph Macchio, 59 – upgraded from the dingy apartment complex of the earlier films to a lavish mansion after becoming the wealthy owner of a car dealership.

And now the Tuscan-style villa is listed for $ 2.65 million.

While San Fernando Valley resident Daniel traded his working-class Reseda neighborhood for the upscale suburb of Encino, California, the Cobra Kai house is actually located in Marietta, Georgia.

LaRusso’s nemesis from The Karate Kid movie franchise, Johnny Lawrence, played by Willaim Zabka, 55, is the main protagonist of Cobra Kai.

More than 30 years after being defeated by Daniel, the former Encino rich boy is now a struggling handyman in Reseda. When Lawrence decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo, their rivalry revives.

Daniel later reopens the Miyagi Dojo, and the series follows their ongoing feud and struggle for karate dominance.

In the fourth season, however, they will team up against their common enemy, John Kreese, played by Martin Kove, 75.

While the fourth season of Cobra Kai is expected to drop later this year, where the LaRusso family will live now is a mystery.

This comes after news that The Karate Kid will be turned into a stage musical.

The original 1984 martial arts movie will now be adapted for a Broadway show.

Robert Mark Kamen – who was the ghost behind the classic film – has joined the project alongside Drew Gasparini, who will write music and lyrics, while the production will be directed by Amon Miyamoto with choreography by MTV VMA nominees Keone and Mari Madrid.

In a statement, Kamen, 72, said: ‘Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that this little movie would reach generations as it is.

And beyond my wildest dreams, I thought that what started as a love letter to my dedication to Okinawan Karate and the man who taught it to me would become a full-fledged Broadway musical.

But here it is. Here I am. And here we hope that what comes onstage brings the same joy and relevance that ‘The Karate Kid’ has brought to countless children and their parents over the past 35 years. ‘

Miyamoto added, “A lot of people like Broadway musicals for ‘escape’ – but I love them because they provide an insight into how we should live our lives. I was inspired to do a stage adaptation of The Karate Kid because it tells a story we need in this ongoing Age of Division as our society becomes more and more globalized. ‘

Additional information, including casting and production dates, will be disclosed in the future.

Macchi previously admitted that it was unlikely that he would make another Karate Kid movie because “ movies had changed. ”

Last year, the 58-year-old actor said in an interview: ‘It’s been discussed, but it’s not something I think we’re going to continue with and here’s the reason for it. To go back and try to make a traditionally big sequel to movies, movies have changed in terms of what’s playing in the cinemas and for how long. It’s usually big IPs like superhero movies that get that screen time and then there’s everything else. It is difficult.’
