The CDC lists Puerto Rico as a high risk and does not recommend traveling to the island

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, for the acronym in English) has Puerto Rico in its guides for travelers at the highest risk due to the coronavirus infection, COVID-19.

In the CDC’s digital portal, it recommends travelers avoid any trip to the island as they put us on level 4 or red, the highest on the risks of the coronavirus.

The CDC has, in addition to 4, level 1 which is low, 2 which is moderate, and 3 which is high.

The federal agency specifies that if the trip to Puerto Rico is necessary, you must be fully vaccinated before you arrive, in addition to wearing a mask at all times, staying two meters away, avoiding crowds and washing hands.
