The director of an exclusive private school plans to make history in the UK by coming out as gay at an online meeting.
Nicholas Hewlett, the principal of St. Dunstan’s College of $ 25,000 a year in Catford, South East London, told the Sunday Times of London he plans to discuss his sexuality and marriage with another teacher in a meeting on Monday. .
It is believed to be the first time a principal has come out for his apprentices and staff in the UK, the paper said.

Hewlett, 41, said he was inspired by a student who recently shared how comfortable they were gay.
“I was so overwhelmed by his courage that something in my head turned,” he told the British newspaper.
“I then thought about my own situation and thought, ‘This is ridiculous.’ Here I am as a happily married gay man, and the kids at school don’t know that.
“There will be children who struggle with their own sexuality and who would benefit from knowing that you can be happy and gay, and I am in a privileged position to show them that.
“I felt I owed it to the students to be open and courageous too. I am inspired by it,” he told the UK Times.
