The bachelor’s Carly Waddell is ‘very sad’ after the announcement of divorce from Evan Bass

Bachelor vets Carly Waddell and Evan Bass announced their divorce after three years of marriage on Dec. 23 in a joint statement.

On Saturday, 35-year-old Waddell broke her silence on the matter when she said she was ‘very sad’ about the matter on Christmas Day.

She posted a photo of her and the couple’s two kids, Bella, two and Charlie, 13 months, on Instagram, saying, ‘I feel like I’m missing a piece of my soul,’ as she reflected on the divorce.

‘Merry Christmas. Christmas Day was not what I expected this year. The three of us. The new normal. Which feels incredibly abnormal, and actually very sad, ”she said.

“A lot of you nice people have asked if I’m okay. And I want to say I am, but I am not. I will be. Today is the first day that both children stay with Evan at night, ”she said.

‘I feel like I’m missing a piece of my soul. I am literally just writing this. But I am grateful it was a White Christmas, and I am grateful that the children are all having a good time with their father and brothers. ‘

She concluded, “They feel so loved. Thanks for checking me out. Love you all.’

On the rocks: Married three years after finding love on Bachelor in Paradise, the couple announced their divorce on Wednesday because they called it a “tough decision”; pictured on June 17

The couple released the news Wednesday in People magazine, saying:

‘We made the difficult decision to split up. We will always cherish our time together and continue to have the utmost respect for one another as we focus on what’s best for our family’s future. ‘

The couple first met and became engaged in 2016 with Bachelor spin-off Bachelor in Paradise, and got married on the show in 2017.

While seemingly uninterested in Bass, 38, he initially worked on his charm and they fell head over heels for each other when the season ended in a proposal.

Putting two children into the world together shortly after getting married seemed like a fairytale ending for the couple, but fans grew suspicious of the relationship for the past six months.

The couple swore they’d have more kids in June (Bass has three guys from a previous relationship) when Bass said, ‘I don’t think we’d make it if we had another one. We would make it longer for a while, but … they would probably lead to other paths, ” he shared on the Mommies Tell All podcast.

Waddell continued to fuel speculation, and things came to a head when she announced on December 6 that she moved in a vlog, without mentioning Evan in terms of ‘us’ in the video.

When Evan turned 38 on December 17, he celebrated without Carly by his side, only posting a photo of his kids that he called “ My Loves. ”

The couple announced their separation less than a week after his solo birthday outing and haven’t followed each other on social media since then.

Aside from their joint statement to People, Bass has remained mom on the matter, speaking out only to stop a troll on Instagram who commented on an old photo of the couple.

The photo had the caption, ‘There has never been a better love story in paradise,’ to which a troll replied, ‘not good old,’ while Bass hit back saying it was ‘still true.’
