The appearance of a robot dog surprised witnesses to the arrest of a man by the New York (US) police, as shown in a video that went viral on social networks, local media reports.

The recording shows how several officers handcuffed the detainee, identified as Luis Gonzales, 41 years old. Immediately after, the electronic device appears behind the arrested person, walking around the area before entering a building and going to bed.

“I had never seen anything like this in my life”, the woman who recorded the images is heard. “That sh * t moves better than a dog! “another witness exclaimed. Then the author of the video confirms that it is R2-D2, referring to the famous robot from the movie saga ‘Star Wars’.

A police representative said they went to a block of buildings in Manhattan after receiving a tip about a domestic dispute over a possible firearm. Apparently Gonzales had locked his wife and a baby in the apartment.
