The 4 recent changes in Bukele’s government cabinet

One of the new officials is Juan Carlos Bidegaín as the new Home Secretary, son of the current Education Minister.

In any case, this Wednesday, the appointments of four new government officials are announced to replace positions in some state portfolios.

In the afternoon, President Nayib Bukele swore to the new Interior Minister, Juan Carlos Bidegaín, who is also the son of the head of education Carla Hananía de Varela, as El Diario de Hoy has verified with official documents.

Bukele said via his Twitter account that Bidegaín has been part of his government since its inception, “he worked as a director at the Deputy Ministry of Transport and coordinated the logistics of the PES from September 2020 until now from the Ministry of Health, the SEM And the Interdisciplinary Epidemiological Containment Team.

It was previously known that Pablo Anliker was deposed as head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG). While the announcement of his resignation has not been made official by the Executive, Anliker has already withdrawn his position from his Twitter account.

David Martínez, a veterinarian graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, who worked at CENTA and was also Managing Director of Animal Husbandry at MAG, was appointed in his place.
