Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman transfers

For the first time since former LSU and Louisiana Tech pledged offensive tackle Willie Allen to the Wolverines last fall, Michigan football has added a player from the NCAA transfer portal.

Alan Bowman, from the 2018 recruiting course, was a three-star quarterback from Grapevine (TX). A professional QB, Bowman played three seasons with Texas Tech, completing 67% of his passes for 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns to 17 interceptions on 713 tries. And on Sunday, he’ll be joining a quarterback fight between Cade McNamara and former five-star JJ McCarthy, as he announced on Twitter his commitment to the Wolverines.

Although he has played nineteen games in three seasons, he has given his sophomore year a makeover and has two more years left to qualify.
