Texans insist they will not trade Deshaun Watson

The team continues the reorganization, which is not going well for the players

The Houston Texans keep telling teams that are licking they don’t want to trade Deshaun WatsonLeague sources reported to ESPN, while the showdown between the team and the franchise quarterback continues.

Watson still wants to leave Houston and has asked the Texans to trade him, informants said. But no matter how many calls they get, the Texans insist they won’t change it.

Others NFL teams got that message and now hope to see the Texans’ attitude change.

As speculation about Watson continues, the Texans are making headway with organizational changes. Last week, General Manager Kevin Krajcovic, Team Manager Mike Parson and his staff, and another longtime employee, Doug West, were fired.

Parson is said to have had a close relationship with Watson, and these changes aren’t going well with the players.

“Mike Parson and his entire team are wonderful people who went above and beyond to help out in the locker room every day,” tweeted defender JJ Watt.

A player has commented privately on ESPN that the Texans are cutting employees not hired by Executive Vice President Jack Easterby and new General Manager Nick Caserio, replacing them with employees who will put their work into debt.

These changes are not expected to help improve Watson’s situation.

Deshaun, who signed a four-year, $ 156 million contract extension in September, is under contract through the 2025 season. Has a trade ban, but given the length of your contract and the option of qualifying it as a three-year franchise, the Texans could choose not to trade him and would be in control of his rights until the 2028 season.

The change request comes after Watson was dissatisfied with the team’s process to hire Caserio in early January.
