The Louisiana woman who went viral for using Gorilla Glue as a hairspray said in an interview that she never intended to spread her tacky saga online, but was desperate for help untangling her mess.
“I never intended to bring this to social media. The reason I brought this to social media was because I didn’t know what else to do, ”Tessica Brown told ET.
‘And I know someone out there could have told me something. I didn’t think for a second when I got up the next morning that it would be everywhere, ”she added.
Brown, whose hair has been tightly tied for a month, said on Wednesday she would see a surgeon to get loose.
She made the announcement after TMZ reported that a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon offered to help out for free.
In describing how she got into the hairy predicament, Brown told ET that she “absolutely” regrets using the industrial adhesive after the hairspray ran out just as she was about to leave her home.
The mum of five said she had used Gorilla Glue before – but never on her hair – and assumed she could just ‘just wash it out’.
After trying to use olive oil, tea tree oil and other oils to wash away the glue, she decided to turn to social media – then went to St. Parish Hospital in Chalmette, where health workers tried to use “little bags of acetone” .
But Brown denied that she spent 22 hours in the ER because her video sought that help, took the internet by storm, and she was soon dubbed “ Gorilla Glue Girl. ”
‘I said to my son today,’ I wish I could just go back ‘because I’m over it. I’m over it, ”she told ET. “I’m usually the person who doesn’t care what people say. I just move at my own pace. I don’t care what people say, but it just gets to the point where people on TV say things about me. “
Brown continued, “If you knew me you wouldn’t say half of what they say. Then someone said, “Oh, she just put that on her head on purpose to get here.” Who in their right mind would say, “Well, just let me shoot this in my head and be famous overnight?” Never! … Who wants them to do that? I needed someone to tell me how to remove this – it was all. “
Brown, who owns Tessica’s Little Angels daycare and runs the dance troupe Dazzling Divaz, said she “didn’t need it” because her companies struggled during the coronavirus pandemic.
“[The news] posted a photo where I was bald, which I wasn’t. [My daughter] had to do with that yesterday. The teachers are talking about it, ”she said to the outlet.
‘My little girl, she doesn’t want me to stop doing her hair. I said to her, “Let me do your hair.” She said, “You’re not doing my hair.” But I think she’s kidding and playing, but I wasn’t supposed to, ‘added Brown.
She’s already raised more than $ 16,000 through an online fundraiser, the money she said goes to “ the wigs that everyone tells me I’m going to need. That’s why I always said $ 1,500. “

Brown said her name is ‘Gorilla Glue Girl’, which she finds most hurtful, ‘which bothers my little girls when they go to school’.

But in the midst of all the ridicule and taunt, there are those who support women.
Beyoncé’s hairstylist, Neal Farinah, has offered her a wig, while celebrities like Missy Elliott and Chance the Rapper have also backed her up, according to ET.
“I’m glad the MFS are actually supporting her through this,” Chance said on Twitter. “When I watched the video for the second time it was hard to laugh because I could see that Shorty really didn’t know she had put one of the world’s most powerful adhesives in her sh * t. I hope she recovers well. “
‘Porsha [Williams], she wants to send me her. Jess Hilarious, me and she talk every day like we’re friends, ”Brown said. “A lot of people want to give it to me, but the reason I didn’t accept it is because I don’t want people to say, ‘Oh, that’s why she did it.'”
She also denied that she is considering suing Gorilla Glue for the debacle. The company has empathized with its situation.
