TUCSON, Ariz. – Tedy Bruschi returns to football in Arizona.
The school announced on Monday that Bruschi will serve as senior adviser to new coach Jedd Fisch.
Bruschi was a two-time consensus All-American and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year during his four-year stint in Tucson from 1992 to 1995. He played 13 NFL seasons with the New England Patriots and won three Super Bowls before retiring in 2009.
Bruschi has served as chief analyst with ESPN after retirement.
His duties at Arizona include serving on the executive football management team and as an advisor to the football staff. He will also assist Fisch with alumni relationships, fundraising, social justice initiatives and the development of student athletes outside the field.
