Rocker Ted Nugent reveals he suffered after testing positive for coronavirus – months after saying the virus was “not a real pandemic.”

“I thought I was dying,” Nugent said in a live video on Facebook posted Monday. “I could literally barely get out of bed for the past few days,” added, “So I officially tested positive for COVID-19 today.”

In the video shot on his Michigan farm, the “Cat Scratch Fever” singer repeatedly uses racist insults to refer to COVID-19 and reiterates his previous position that he would not get the vaccine because he falsely claims that “nobody knows what’s in it. it.”

Nugent, a supporter of ex-President Donald Trump, previously called the pandemic a scam and has spoken out against public health restrictions. He has echoed a story pushed by conservative media and disputed by health experts that suggests the official death toll from the coronavirus is too high.

A poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research in late March found that 36% of Republicans said they are likely or certainly not going to be vaccinated, compared to 12% of Democrats. The seven-day national average of cases remains in excess of 60,000 new infections per day.
